Book an exclusive day of private fishing, including fly fishing and spinning, guided by the top local experts who will take you on an adventure on a motorized boat at Lake Fonck. This tour accommodates up to two anglers per motorized vessel, offering excellent conditions for fishing in the lakes. We will explore every corner of Lake Fonck, casting our lines from the boat. At midday, indulge in a delightful lunch prepared and served by the lake.

Following our meal, we will continue sailing and fishing through the afternoon until we reach the designated spot at the lake's exit. Here, our team will be ready with vehicles and trailers to transport you back to your hotel or lodging.

We supply all the essential gear for this experience: waders, footwear, rods, reels, lines, flies or lures, and more.

In the morning, your expert guide will pick you up from your hotel to head towards Fonck Lake. Situated 65 km from Bariloche, this lake lies at the heart of the National Park, surrounded by untouched and wild nature. Access to Fonck Lake is exclusively via four-wheel drive vehicles, as it is the most secluded lake in the National Park. It provides an excellent opportunity for fishing large brown trout, Rainbow, and Fontinalis.

Upon reaching the embarkation point, your guide will explain the fishing techniques we recommend for your excursion:

Fly Fishing: This method involves casting flies—"dressed" hooks that mimic insects, small fish, shrimp, and more—using a weighted line specifically designed for this purpose. Mastering this technique requires practice and dedication, particularly for the casting process. However, fly fishing is gaining global popularity.
Spinning: This technique involves casting and retrieving artificial lures like spoons, simulating the movement of a small organism in water to entice the trout. Spinning is permitted in all lakes and some river sections and can be done from the shore or boats, either rowed or motorized. We recommend using ultra-light equipment and simple barbless hooks.

Following this, your excursion will commence, allowing you to sail on Lake Fonck and fish using your selected technique.

After two hours of boat fishing, you will reach the lakeside to enjoy a delightful lunch amidst nature. Once refreshed, you will continue exploring and fishing in the lake's prime spots during the afternoon.

Accompanied by your guide, you'll gain insights into the history of the San Carlos de Bariloche region and discover the best fishing options and the fish species inhabiting the area.

After covering 12 km throughout the day, your guide will accompany you to the lake's exit point, where vehicles will be ready to drive you back to your hotel.

Fishing Season

The fishing season runs annually from November 1 to April 30 in the Nahuel Huapi National Park, Northern Patagonia. However, for off-season fishing, the Nahuel Huapi, Gutierrez, and Mascardi lakes are open throughout May and October. Lake Moreno is open for all three fishing modalities year-round, making it a perfect spot for winter fishing.
