Reserve a private half-day fishing adventure, whether you're into Fly fishing or Spinning, guided by our expert and top-notch local guides who will lead you on a floating expedition along the Limay River. This journey accommodates two anglers aboard Cata-Rafts, boats specifically crafted for navigating the swift mountain rivers, ideal for fishing in areas inaccessible to motorboats. We will drift approximately 12 km (7 miles) on the Limay River during this half-day tour, casting lines from the boat and frequently pausing to wade and fish from the riverbanks at prime locations.
Upon concluding the trip, our assistant will meet us downstream with trucks and trailers to transport everyone back to their accommodations.
We supply all necessary fishing tackle and equipment (including rods, reels, lines, flies, waders, shoes, etc.).
Tour Description
- Fly-fishing: This involves using a special weighted line and “dressed” hooks that mimic insects, minnows, and shrimp, cast with various techniques. Although it requires practice and patience to master a good cast, fly-fishing has long been a global favorite, attracting numerous seasoned anglers to Patagonia annually, as well as newcomers eager to refine their skills in these untouched fishing locales.
- Spinning: This method involves casting artificial lures, such as spoons or spinners, using suitable rods and reels, whether from the shore or boats. We recommend ultra-light gear and lures with single, barbless hooks when possible.
